The successful Greek and French offensive, launched at the end of May on the west side of the Vardar, and resulting in the capture of some 1,200 prisoners, raised great hopes of a general advance. But June was passed by the Battalion, as had been previous months, by tours in the front line and intervals at Smol Hill.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission list 392 British and Empire troops dying on 12th June 1918. 42 members of the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry are buried in Karasouli.
